The 3M™ ICE160-S-SR carbonless commercial ice filtration system is designed to specifically help prevent biofilm buildup inside commercial ice machines. The system maintains chlorine levels to inhibit potentially harmful biofilm buildup commonly found in high humidity foodservice locations such as breweries or bakeries.

Therefore, t he environment surrounding a commercial ice machine can impact the performance and service requirements due to biofilm buildup. Excess moisture can increase the risk of potential growth and spread of biofilm-associated bacteria, making ice machines a common target for restaurant inspections.

This carbonless filtration system features a 0.2-micron filtration design that maintains chlorine and chloramine levels, while reducing sediment, particulate, bacteria, and cysts.

In addition, the ICE160-S-SR has a built-in scale inhibition can help to prevent the potentially harmful effects of scale build-up on equipment.

The system uses either the HF60-S-SR or HF90-S-SR filters depending on daily ice needs.

Cyst reduction claim based on testing using Cryptosporidium parvum oocysts.
Bacteria reduction claim tested within manufacturer's laboratory with E. Coli ATCC (11229) and manufacturer's pharmaceutical grade bacteria reduction membrane.
