Average Window unit

Fan speeds don't push much air, even on High speed. The unit is noisy, makes gurgling sounds....louder than any other unit we've ever had. Not the most stellar GE product we've owned. Other GE appliances have been reliable, so hoping this one will be too.

It cools the room but I thought the eco would cut off and on and it doesn't. That is the only thing I do not like. I have a GE window unit in my living room and it does that with the eco. I wish you could adjust the vents more like up and down. Overall its a good product for a small room.

Air Conditioner for the summer heat!

Its so hot out I got a 5000 BUT air conditioner to add to our RV for the summer heat. It's perfect to add and really keep the RV cool at the peck of the 100 degree heat and humidity. It total helps keep the RV around 70 with out it it would be 80 with it so hot outside.

I moved into my friend's room after she moved out and she only had it installed for one year and every time i plug it in, try to reset, etc. it just won't turn on at all...terrible product for the price and will not be buying a replacement from GE after this experience.

The A/C is decent for a small room. The controls are reversed though - i.e. pressing "high" for the fan puts it on its slowest setting, and pressing "low" sets the fan to its highest speed. There's obviously some wires crossed between the buttons and and computer. Other than that, it does its job.
