This refrigerator is in the brand new Keystone camper trailer I just bought 4 weeks ago. My wife and I spent weekend in camper and we left fridge stocked for the following week when we would be spending a week in camper with son and grandkids.When arrived the refrigerator/freezer was not running and all the food was lost. This refrigerator runs off the 12 volt battery that was fully charged. Tried pulling fuse to see if that would reset, didn't work. Never got it to come back on. Tough spending a week with 6 people in camper with no refrigerator.
Dealership where I bought camper wasn't much help, only said bring it back and they will check it out.

This product was installed in a new RV unit we have purchased. The freezer works great, however , the refrigerator cools but has an excessive frost build up immediately. The dealer feels it needs another hinge which has been ordered but not received. Cannot review effectively until the part is installed and see if it corrects the problem.

We bought this refrigerator to replace the one in our RV when it quit cooling. The original one was a gas/electric model. This one fit in the same hole and was much cheaper. An additional bonus was that it is 1.8 cu.ft. larger. The extra space really comes in handy. It is quiet running and cools better than the original. Would definitely buy again.

Refrigerator came in our new Travel Trailer. The compressor seems to run a lot and is very noise. Very load hum magnified by the wood cabinet it is located in. The refrigerator door is difficult to close. You have to really lean into it to get it to shut tightly. Feels like the door gasket binds on the hinge side. Would not recommend this model.

Replaced a 12V Furrion fridge that was very noisy with this unit. Seems to work better, freezer is definitely colder than fridge. Did add a small refrig fan to help with air flow since it is not frost free

We bought an RV that has 2 units sitting next to each other. One is fine, but on the other the door doesn't shut properly which causes it to run more often than the other. Since the hinges are left on one unit & right on the other one, one of the doors was probably reversed .

This is in a camper I purchased so I had no choice in choosing it. The product struggles to maintain temperature it also is not a frost free model so frost builds up pretty quickly, (within 1 week) . The unit is large and has plenty of room in the freezer and refrigerator. The lock to hold both doors shut malfunctioned on our first trip resulting in a bent and scratched freezer door. The lock is useless. The magnetic door straps are not strong enough to keep the doors closed while traveling down the road.

But I had damage to it upon delivery, both doors were scratched and dented, the company I ordered it from is supposed to contact you guys do get me replaced doors but I have not heard anything more since then

We bought a new 2021 RV the end of July. The installed GE 12 volt 9.8cu' refrigerator has never worked. As a result, we camped for 10 days in our beautiful new RV with 3 large coolers in the living area. To the "powers that be" at GE...have you NOT been paying attention to these reviews? Obviously our situation is not rare, as indicated here in the short list of reviews I've read so far. Also, do not be telling everyone to call GE service & a service technician will come fix their problem. Our RV has been sitting at the dealership in a big town in Illinois, which is next to an even larger town, and there are NO GE service people anywhere near that area to come work on our refrigerator. Whenever that situation is rectified, I can't wait to see how many weeks/months it will take for parts to come in or before you will finally just replace mine with a refrigerator that works. Stop ruining the reputation of high quality RV manufacturers by providing such an inferior product for installation in their units.

So far this fridge works great. It's replacing an Everchill 12v in my camper. Freezer gets cold super fast. Fridge takes a little while which is normal anyway. Only thing I don't like is the amount of frost inside the fridge on the back wall. No matter how I set the temp there's frost. Not big deal as long as it's cold.

Overall the Fridge/freezer is a good unit. excellent size for an RV fridge. The only draw back with the unit is how quickly it depletes the batteries. It is great if you are plugged into electric or have a generator to keep the batteries charged. However, It is not good at all for off grid use.
*This unit was the only option in the RV I purchased.
**Recommendation is solely based on the ability to be connected to electricity or used with a generator.
**If boondocking with battery power only NO I do not recommend this unit.

So far I'm extremely happy with this purchase. We bought it to install in our 1976 Shasta camper Reno project. We wanted a large refrigerator with a big freezer that runs on 12 volts and low energy draw on our solar. This checks all the boxes so far. Be sure to make sure this will fit in the door of your camper. Fortunately it did ours but we had to take the door of the refrigerator off. The only reason I'm not giving it five stars is because it would be better if it had a door latch to keep the door shut when we're driving. That's not a hard thing to fix though just annoying.

This fridge came with my new camper and I love it. First of all it's huge for a small camper. Plenty of room for stuff, especially in the freezer. It also keeps things nice and cold on the low setting, the freezer is colder than my deep freezer at home. If you shut it off for storage of your camper it only takes a few hours to get cold again after turning it back on. So much better than ANY camper fridge I've ever owned, bigger, faster, and colder.
