Horrible Oven

This wall oven has been nothing but a disaster since I bought it. I regret now ever having even considered buying it. I knew very quickly, before even owning it a year, that I had better buy the extended warranty, which I did. This model oven has NO system for helping the steam that builds up while baking to escape. All it has is a fan that kicks on when the electronics get too hot while baking, which then gives me an error reading and shuts down the oven. The fan never shuts off even after the oven is cold. We have had to disconnect power to the oven from our electric panel. Amazingly, after this happening numerous times, one of several authorized technicians at my house (again) called into Whirlpool Service Center and was told to advise me to either cover everything I bake, or, while baking, I need to stay in the kitchen and open the oven door constantly to let the steam escape. What kind of technology is this? This model oven and the ™€œtechnical support™€ advice was and is an absolute joke. I have to cover cookies and cakes to bake them? They should turn out interesting. Not everything gets covered while baking, has no one told Whirlpool this? I have had to resort to using my crock-pot for things I would normally have put in an oven because this oven can™€™t handle it. I barely use this piece of junk oven now and when my extended warranty is up, I will search for a better appliance without the Whirlpool name on it. The attached photo is my latest Error - again. Always to do with the heat sensor. It can™€™t handle any steam build-up. Ever.

Works good but runs hot. Got a suite of whirlpool appliance and side by side refrigerator freezer is horrible. Had it 2 years replaced ice maker 3 times and now it doesn™€™t work again and the freezer doesn™€™t freeze the food.

Efficient and easy to operate

I bought this 3 months ago. I love the oven and it has been very efficient and easy to operate.it does take about 12to 15 minutes to heat up to desired temperature but my old oven did too. I have also used the self cleaning feature and it worked great.

We have been using this oven for around six months, and are very pleased with it. It can be confusing when setting up the delayed start, but we have figured that out. We do wish it were Wifi compatible. If it were, this oven would be perfection.

A few small issues

We bought this oven at the end of Feb and it took about 4 weeks to arrive. Initially I was very pleased with the features and style of the oven. My only reservations are that the racks do not slide very easily and then last week the oven door locked and we couldn't get it open. My husband managed to slide a tool in between the door and the oven and triggered the lock. But if we closed the door it would just lock again. The only way we found to reset the lock was to run the self cleaning cycle. That seemed to fix it. I'm hoping it stays fixed...

I am satisfied with this oven. The customer service leaves a lot to be desired! Our oven arrived with the wrong bottom trim piece. We called customer service within days of installing the oven. After being transferred to warranty, we were told we would have to pay nearly $50 to get the correct piece. For this reason, I will not buy Whirlpool when replacing my other appliances.

Glad I took the turkey out or it would have been locked in there for a week, that would've been gross. Control issues and broken thermostat. Like the size (bigger than the one it replaced), it takes longer to get up to temperature (but that's OK), BUT - IT DID NOT COME WITH A USERS MANUAL IN PAPER FORM, you know - a booklet that the user can refer to as he/she/it familiarizes him/her/its self with the new unit. There is no broiler tray either (fortunately we have two from the previous ovens we've had) which I think is a bit on the cheesy side.

In the first two months of use, ours has thrown three error messages... and the door locked unexpectedly once, causing dinner to dry out for our guests before the oven cooled down enough to release the door lock. Technician came and replaced the blower, claiming all will be well now... but we bought the extended warranty, which I hate doing, to cover us in case it requires further interventions.
