We moved and bought this fridge a year ago it is our second one like it. Its a fine fridge but the ice maker has never worked and no one could figure out why. Finally a repair place told us there was no voltage getting to the top ice maker. They are replacing the PC board and lets hope for the best.

In the two years of ownership I have had to replace the compressor condenser air dryer and PCB Motherboard twice each and the door ice maker once. Not a very reliable system. Luckily I had purchased an extended warranty so thank goodness for that. I outfitted my complete remodeled kitchen with LG products and now hoping that wasnt a big mistake.

Great counter depth french door refrigerator

Very nice refrigerator. Like the in door water and ice dispenser. Second ice maker in freezer gets you that extra ice. So far so good. The door ice dispenser ice can get stuck if not used but easy to take out and ready to go. Will see how longevity goes. Set temperature to 36F and that is what I got when measured with thermometer. Looks great in kitchen replacing an 19 yr old side by side.

We have a small space and this fridge is perfect for it. Its a smaller-capacity refrigerator though and you have to take that into consideration. It isnt deep enough to hold a12-pack of pop with the open end pointing toward the door but thats its only drawback. The ice maker Its a little loud arent they all? and water dispenser are both great and the fridge is beautiful with a nice digital readout on the door. Lots of extras at a super-affordable price. Were very happy with it.

We bought this to replace an aging frig. It is almost a replica of our original frig which was nice especially given the price... we just wanted a reliable basic fridge - not all the fancy features monitors etc. ...also it was actually quite a bit cheaper than the original from 9 years ago. Only drawbacks have been that it is a little bit smaller 2 cu ft and so far the water dispenser has pretty high pressure good for big cup/pitcher but too much for smaller glass

Our new LG refrigerator was delivered and installed on April 11 2023. Its a great refrigerator except for one problem. The water being dispensed has a horrible chemical flavor. We followed the instructions in the owners manual for the steps to take before dispensing the water to drink for the first time. We must have dispensed and dumped 10 gallons of water by now yet the terrible flavor persists. Is it the filter or something else? Very annoying and disappointing for a brand new appliance. Ed Perry

Ongoing problem: water dispenser taste and odor

In October 2022 I purchased this refrigerator new and had it installed by my contractor in a newly gut-renovated home with 100 new plumbing lines. From day 1 the water and ice dispensing from my LG LFXC22526S has a bad odor and taste. Strangely the water coming out of the LG fridge dispenser tastes worse than the kitchen sink water which is three feet away and has no odor or bad taste. I have been calling LG since October about this problem. So far I have changed the filter three times flushed many gallons of water through the filters had my plumber come and change the water line to the fridge to LGs recommended PEX cable and stayed home from work twice to let technicians into the house. An LG subcontractor was sympathetic but couldnt help. An LG tech was congested when he arrived and said I cant smell anyway then submitted paperwork saying my fridge is working as designed. I have a Brita pitcher in my fridge and drink the water from that. We dont use the water dispenser or the ice cubes from the LFXC22526S at all - the ice cube tray just takes up space in the freezer Unfortunately I cant recommend this product. I am beginning to believe the water will never be drinkable as I have not received any reliable customer support from LG.

I bought this LG refrigerator to replace another brand with 28 cubic feet of storage inside with an additional exterior snack drawer. It was fine however I felt that the additional snack drawer was a waste of space and because the freezer was so deep a lot of food became lost on the bottom. This refrigerator is perfectly sized and doesnt take over my small kitchen like the larger size. It is a bit small for all the vegetables that I purchase but I feel that it is perfect for my husband and myself. It runs smooth quiet and easy to wipe the outside from any smudges. Makes more than enough ice and stays at a perfect consistent temperature. I love the quality performance and style of LG appliances. I own a top load washer and dryer two televisions and now this beautiful refrigerator. I am a huge fan and look forward to adding more of this brand into my home.

Love This Fridge

Bought one for my old hoare set up use and bought another for my new one because i just love it. The layout and price make it perfect. Never had a problem with either. The single drawer freezer works better than the double drawer easier to fit stuff in. The inside drawer set up works well. The no-finger print surface is easy to keep clean. Great that is comes in counter depth.

Water tastes like metal

Weve had the fridge for a few months and love it except for the fact that the water tastes awful - to the point where guests have spit it out We cant drink it. Weve had a new filter sent and then the reservoir and lines replaces twice. It has helped a little but in the morning when water has sat for the night it tastes like metal. Has anyone else had this issue? Im wondering what the next step will be to fix this......

I bought it a couple of months ago and only have had one issue. The door ice maker would thaw and refreeze if all the ice wasnt consumed in a couple of days. The ice would then jam and need to be removed. The tech came out and updated the software and it hasnt happened since knock on wood.

Early issue

We love the refigerator but 8 months in we had an IF ice fan error code that will not resolve itself after following LGs suggested fixes. I put in a repair request and it has taken close to 5 weeks to get a confirmation that a repair company will be coming out in 2 more weeks. While the fridge still worked we could not change any functions of the fridge on the control panel while the error code was displayed.

I am mostly happy with this LG product. There is a lot of space in the interior and in the door storage. I like the 2 bins...one for fruits one for vegetables. I like the large deli tray. The only issue is that the ice cube door container gets clogged because I dont use enough ice. I have to manually take the ice door container out and unclog the frozen. cubes stuck together and empty and start over.

We bought this and at first we loved it. Then it broke. The door closer broke. And in the same week the freezer fan stopped. This caused us to lose all our food including breast milk for our premature little baby. Im working still with LG for compensation but they are pushing back saying they only cover sealed system failure for food comp. NOT impressed so far by the company in regards to quality of product or customer support.

Fridge delivered and not installed for over 11 day

Our fridge was delivered on time but the delivery men said they left the straps at a previous installation so couldnt install but would get a call the following day for install. No one called. We called and they said theyd call us another time for set up. We still hadnt heard as of the 23rd so we called again and it seemed like our ticket fell off the list so they said due to the holiday theyd contact us on the 27th

Recently Purchased LG Refrigerator

We recently purchased this LG refrigerator as a replacement for another brand that we had for over 10 years. The one that we replaced was a full size refrigerator and we felt this counter depth LG fit our current needs the best. Weve only had it a few weeks but overall are very happy with the purchase. The only complaint that we have is the large thin shelf/bin on the bottom of the refrigerator has a lot of play in it when you open and close the bin. Unless you are pulling perfectly from the center it will pull out crookedly as it has too much gap on each side. I remedied it myself by placing some 1/4 glides that I bought at a big box store on either side wall of the refrigerator where the drawer is but given the price and general quality of LG products they should have designed this better. Other than that we are pleased with the purchase so far.

Ice-maker issues after 2.5 months

Just bought in September and icemaker went out in door a few weeks ago. Thankfully this frig has the extra icemaker in the freezer which I deliberately wanted just for extra ice. It saved us after door icemaker stopped working. Also while I love the amount of storage in this counter-depth refrigerator I do not love the ice and water dispenser and how you have to really push down on the buttons to switch from ice to water. There is a slight delay also with ice when it comes out. When installed the technicians also did not ensure the right side door was adjusted properly so it swings in and wont stay open. LGs contracted repair company has responded to the icemaker issues under the warranty coverage and they are repairing it tomorrow their second visit as they had to order a new icemaker for it. High marks for the quick warranty response from customer service.
