I purchased a washer and dryer on 1/18/23 The washer started in June 2024 to leak on the left side where the soap tray is located and down the side of the machine. I a had repairman come he wanted labor and parts over $500. I contacted LG and was basically told too Bad-- we only offer one year guarantee. So your products do not last not even 2 years If you review product on line there are so many of your washers are being reviewed with the same problem I feel that LG should take the responsibility of defective issue on your washer.

I always buy LG products and dependable before. Now they are not. Last week my front load washer shows LE sign. One mechanic said it is motor and it is under warranty. Problem is I paid for it but LG do t send the parts for me . They will send to technician only. I believe it is not fair because I paid for all material and I am not trust worth for. Sending parts.

I will never EVER purchase another LG product ever again. Their products are pure trash. This washer puts holes in my clothes and it is banked too steeply inside and it causes all my clothes jeans t-shirts bedding everything to twist into a rope and mangles everything. Ive been using front loaders for decades and never had this problem before this washer. Pure trash.

I would give the washer a 5 BUT the only thing I found was the washer didnt turn long enough at the end of the wash cycle to release the clothes from the drum.So if youre not careful and take your clothes out theyll be really wrinkled.

Im so disappointed in this washer. Purchased in October of 2020 and had it professionally installed. Installers had to come out several times because it wouldnt drain all the water yes heed the other reviews that say the same thing. It sill from time to time will not drain 100 and leaves clothes soaking wet. Now the newest problem is the WIFI. Six months ago the WIFI died. Of course we are out of warranty which was only 12mos and that is pitiful given the track record of these units. Repair tech costs are ridiculous so Ive attempted to complete it DIY. In a nutshell the LG parts website is useless as is the owners manual. The search features and interactive exploded view are a joke. Long story short: After 6 mos I still dont know the exact part number to order to replace the wifi module nor do I have the steps needed to complete the job although youtube has been of some help. In summary dont purchase LG washers.

Dryer design issue

Dear LG Recently My LG dryer of the New Washing machine set has a problem. A pull tail of my Down jackets zipper was slipped into the hole of air filter in LG dryer and accidently locked my clothes with the air filter. There are sixteen holes on the surface of air filter it is better to make it smaller to avoid this kind accident. Sincerely Simon

Washing machine is not the problem but thinking I had a repair issue was the reason I gave 1star. Customer service was so eager to sell an extended warranty that I never needed. They should have first offered to troubleshoot my issue. I a currently fighting to get back the $349.00 I was billed and the only issue was I had an unbalanced wash load. It turns out you cant wash a bathroom rug and a few other lightweight items.

I bought the washer/dryer pair because of space limitations. I have always used the speed cycle on my previous washer. When I try to use this cycle on this washer I am very limited on the number of articles I can wash in one load as it leaks water from the bottom--very inconvenient since it is impossible to get under washer to dry up the mess. I do not overload the tub I will not recommend this unit to anyone

Does a pretty good job with regular old laundry but good luck with anything that requires special treatment. Further you will need a senior software engineer to troubleshoot anything that goes even slightly amiss. We have one garment that is not supposed to go through a spin cycle. After several episodes of standing water in the drum at the end of a washing cycle and having to manually drain it I am ready to go back to our old washer. It just worked.

Doesnt spin the water out.

I didnt heed the negative reviews because of the ratings on other sources Consumers Reports etc. WRONG. It has the issue I read about and it is so annoying I am considering going to the local laundromat instead of using this machine. The water doesnt completely spin out and my laundry is literally dripping on the floor when it comes out of the washer. I have to go to the bathroom and hand wring all the washed items out before putting them in the dryer and then the dryer has to run forever to get the clothes dry. Someone must have paid big time for those high ratings

I am very dissatisfied with this washer. It is not yet two years old and is completely dead. I am having trouble with the repair as well. Even when it did work I was not happy with the cleanliness of the clothes and often had to rewash things. The cycles take a very long time.

No complaints after almost a year. Its easy to use washes well deals well with my kids laundry and I dont worry about my delicates getting shredded. There are a ton of ways to customize your washing needs but the dial has the main ones.

Great Features but leaks quickly

I bought my washer about 3 months ago as part of a washer/dryer combo. I loved having the features and time delay options as well as the ability to start from my phone. However the washer did start to leak very soon after I bought it. A quick self-clean cycle and rebalancing seems to have fixed the issue but I was a little upset that it needed to be cleaned so quickly after being bought.

Love the Speed Wash

This machine has all the bells and whistles including Smart technology. At the recommendation of a representative I do most of my laundry using the SPEED WASH setting. There is no compromise in the quality of the wash but the wash time is only 15 minutes. This is very useful when I have to flip my AIRBNB apartment in a short period of time.

Ive had this for several months and finally determined that it was destroying my clothes. The washer is causing so much pilling all the clothes look old and faded. Even using the gentle cycle damage is still happening. Customer Service will not offer any replacement and only calling repair services who claims the machine is fine even when I show them the damaged clothing. They wouldnt even change the drum to see if maybe there is a defect with it.

When it works its great

We started off loving this machine unfortunately we are now thoroughly disappointed and frustrated owning a LG. The machine started shutting off and displaying a uS or U5 error code. We had a technician come out and he replaced the vibration sensor this worked for a week. The the same error appeared. He then replaced the control board this did not fix the problem. After a couple of hours he finally ascertained that the motor is the problem. After 5 calls to LG I was finally able to convince them to send a new motor. I am going on 6 weeks without a washer still waiting for the motor to arrive. Dealing with customer service is another nightmare. I love the washer when it works but that is now a distant memory.

Accessible for Visually Impaired

I chose this washing machine because of the phone app. All washers seem to be touch panel now and that is an issue given I cant see at all. The fact this one works with an app is great. I am also able to tap the controls on the machine directly I have them labeled with the app open and it tells me what is being changed. My only issue is that sometimes it gets unbalanced for no noticeable reason or doesnt rinse thoroughly. Love all the settings.

End of the shakes

We ordered our LG washer and dryer from Cosco and the delivery staff did not properly set up the appliances. We werent aware of the matter until we started to use to the washer small load and it couldnt stop shaking. My husband and I had to literally get on top of it to prevent it hitting the wall. LG sent a rep over Julian who quickly assessed the matter and explained what the issue was delivery staff didnt add a missing piece when hooking up the washer. Julian proceed with adding the piece had us load the washer in front of them and issue resolved. He was very patience and kind with us and educated us on high energy appliances mean and on detergent use weve been using so much and now are saving due to this knowledge- thanks LG

Dependability is Still There

I had an LG years ago that I loved. My housemate talked me into another major brand which required numerous repairs and finally thankfully died recently. I was successful in my campaign to return to my beloved LG. While its sleeker looking and has a few more bells and whistles the dependability still seems to be there In the weeks that Ive had this LG its been relatively easy to operate I DONT like that you cant set a cycle as your default cycle without downloading an app. that allows this feature. and my clothes come out clean and ready to dry wrinkle free. Im looking forward to years of use with my LG
